Brought home Frankie on Wednesday, February 4th. The first night was rough -- Iggy wanted to be investigating him all night long. Last night was much quieter, and today things have almost returned to normal. Frankie has no training beyond knowing not to pee in the house. He doesn't even know 'sit'. Lots fun work ahead of us.

Bark Magazine Literature Contest

I submitted my short story today to Bark Magazine. One of their rules is it must not be published elsewhere, so I cannot post it here until the contest winners are announced.

Iggy and his

Iggy has many names. Bubs, Bubs Ganousha, Iggs, Buddy, Igg-man... we come up with new ones all the time.

Iggy likes cats. he likes to sniff them, and will rub the bottom of his chin alone their back -- often leaving a trail of drool all along them.

Iggy loves his pluch toys. He has a squirrel, a moose, a tiger, and a weird ball that squeaks. When he is excited, he will grab one and shake it gently, even offering it to us when we get home.

Restarting the blog

The Blog never really got going, but I am going to try start it again. We have had Iggy nine months now. He is a wonder and a joy every day. He received his AKC Canine Good Citizen award last May. He survived a mast cell tumor, and has even begun donating blood again. We have learned he really doesn't like riding in the car, and so while he still does it regularly, I do not try to bring him with me to work on the road. He is much happier at home.
